Nike has never shied away from experimenting with the Air Force 1 and the latest build uses faux crocodile leather…in some places.
We’ve certainly seen our fair share of wild colorways and adaptations over the years, most of which have been successful. Nike never seems to run out of ideas though, which is evident when taking a first glance at the Air Force 1 ’07 ‘Habanero Red’.
This rendition features a split colorway, with the lateral half covered in red crocodile-patterned leather and the medial in smooth white leather. The split isn’t exactly equal, since the white leather wraps around to the toebox and the red to the heel tab, and the color split goes through to the outsole as well. Per usual, a full-length Air sole unit is encapsulated in the midsole (on men’s pairs).
The Air Force 1 ’07 “Habanero” is available now at overseas retailers for €130, and is available at select retailers online for $130.
