Diadora, a classic old school shoe maker, came back in a big way during 2014. Diadora did a bunch of great collabs with some of the world’s best boutiques. 2015 looks like it should be a good year for the Italian shoemaker, as they kick off the new year with a project from Berlin’s Solebox.
The Solebox x Diadora N9000 ‘Ferro’ is inspired by the Venetian Gondola, a small boat that cruises the canals of the ancient city effortlessly. Fèrro, meaning iron, refers to the metal ornament at the front of the boat. This N9000 will feature premium kangaroo leather, an alcantara lining, and premium suede on the upper. The toebox flaunts ballistic mesh and will give the shoe some much needed breathability. The white rubber midsole features grey accents, complimenting the tonal greys on the upper.
The Solebox x Diadora N9000 ‘Ferro’ will be available exclusively at Solebox for €170 EUR (about $198 USD). January 24 is the date to mark on your calendars for these beauties. Thoughts on this latest Solebox collab? Share them in the comments below.
