During Kobe’s jersey ceremony yesterday, famed rapper Kendrick Lamar, a.k.a. Kung Fu Kenny, gave us a first look at his collaboration with Nike for a loud Cortez.
The shoe, featured in a red, white, and black colorway, features a “Don’t Trip” strip slapped on the tongue area, while the forefoot features “該死的” embroidery, translating to “DAMN.” Contrary to the usual Nike Cortez designs, Lamar’s rendition of the sneaker is showy but manages to maintain the usual classy Cortez vibes.
Gone are the split red and blue vibes from his past Reebok collaborations.
Though rumored to release later in the month, no official release information has been announced by Nike or Kendrick himself. Stay tuned to WearTesters for more updates for the highly sought after collab that will end the year with a bang.
