Chicago stalwart Saint Alfred has been keeping the Windy City fresh since 2005. Now, the boutique has put its touches on the recently released adidas Temper Run.
Founded by KICKS/HI, the Wicker Park sneaker and streetwear spot has followed up its Saint Alfred x adidas Gazelle, which used water-resistant suede uppers and a GORE-TEX lining, with a stunning new take on the Temper Run.
The Temper Run first debuted in 2014 but now, for the first time, the shoe has become part of the adidas Consortium range. Saint Alfred has put a luxurious and premium spin on the chunky ’90s-inspired runner by outfitting it with active-wear reflective panels, ballistic mesh, gum bottoms, and suede overlays. The shoe rides atop adiPrene midsoles.
To achieve this particular seasonal fall palette on the Saint Alfred x adidas Temper Run, which is inspired by ’90s-era adidas archive outerwear, the Chicago boutique worked with artist Stephen Eichhorn; according to adidas, Eichhorn creates intricately detailed collages of new micro-ecosystems using cut outs from historical botany textbooks, plant parts, wood panel, and brass.
Of course, no pricing information has been announced but the Saint Alfred x adidas Consortium Temper Run will release on October 27 in very limited numbers.
