Those looking to rep their favorite NBA team in the latest Nike gear will have the opportunity beginning tomorrow.
The NBA and Nike will take a big step in their partnership tomorrow when they make their new uniforms available to the masses. The ‘Association’ and ‘Icon’ uniforms will replace the traditional Home and Away uniforms we are used to seeing. So far, we know that the uniforms will be available in both Authentic and Swingman set ups, but no word yet if Nike will offer the more budget-friendly Replica option we have seen in the past.
As we have previously reported, the Nike x NBA uniforms will add more than just sponsored patches and performance; some will feature NFC technology in the tag to give fans new perks and digital experiences. The NikeConnect App (available on iOS and Android devices tomorrow) harnesses those NFC tags to give users access to exclusive content, gear, and more for a new level of immersion.
The uniforms will of course be available at the NBA Store and Nike.com, but you can also order multiple player/team sets from retailers such as Eastbay.com. Swingman uniforms will range from $70 to $110 for jerseys and $80 for the shorts. Authentic jerseys will cost $200 and the shorts will run you $150.
