The Reebok DMX Run 10 is Now a Slip On

In 2018 it appears that sneakers are either chunky dad shoes or lightweight and sleek slip ons. Well, a classic Reebok runner, the DMX Run 10, has now become a slip on — with a zipper.

Designed by the great Billy Marvin and originally released in 1997, the DMX Run 10 was a performance runner that brought DMX moving air technology to the feet of thousands of athletes. However, this latest build forgoes the performance mesh of the original shoe for a lightweight neoprene upper that retains some of the panels of the original shoe but adds a zipper on the medial side for entry.

Beneath that neoprene upper is an EVA midsole and DMX moving air technology, although it is quite firm (unlike what is found in the Daytona DMX and DMX 1200). Interestingly, the outsoles are done in a clear ice so wearers can see the DMX technology underfoot.

The Reebok DMX Run 10 Slip On has released in Japan in two colorways, College Navy and Black/White, for ¥17,280 (approx. $150 USD). There is no official word yet on when or if the shoe will make its way to the U.S.
