Reebok’s 3:AM series celebrates late-night creativity and passion, and now, it’s heading to the Big Easy.
“3:AM” is a signature content series that celebrates the time and effort put in by creative artists in the late hours of the night. The partnership between Foot Locker and Reebok has already made its way to several iconic sneaker cities across the country including New York, where it tapped creatives Cam’ron and Trevor “Trouble” Andrew, and Atlanta, where it celebrated LVRN and FRKO RICO.
Now, the 3:AM series has linked with nightlife photographer Polo Silk, who has spent thirty years documenting NOLA rap legends, and rapper Chase N. Cashe, an artist and producer that is responsible for quadruple platinum singles like “Drop the World” (Lil Wayne ft. Eminem, 2010) and “Look What You’ve Done” (Drake, 2011). “In this city, if you gotta get your grind on, your hustle on, 3 o’clock is perfect,” said Polo Silk in a statement.
Together, the artists worked with the Vector brand to create a few renditions of the Reebok Workout, the historic sneaker of choice for those in the New Orleans hip-hop scene. New Orleans inspiration is seen all over the shoes with the Fleur-de-lis, camo prints, and NOLA logos.
“I spend a lot of time on the road traveling,” said Chase N. Cashe in a statement. “Coming back home and experiencing the nightlife here just keeps me motivated, keeps people moving. It’s a certain rhythm that we got here, a certain bounce, that we just come alive at nighttime.”
The Reebok 3:AM NOLA collection, which will feature the Workout Plus, Workout Mid Strap, and Workout Adv Ripple, as well as matching apparel, will drop online on Reebok.com on June 28 (at 8:00 PM ET) in limited quantities. It will arrive in-store at a select Foot Locker, Champs Sports, and Footaction stores on June 29.
