The Puma RS-Dreamer Basketball is J. Cole’s first signature sneaker. J. Cole previously received his own colorway of the Puma Sky. The RS-Dreamer is marketed a bit differently in that it comes from Puma RS heritage but is built for a specific person. I’m surprised Puma didn’t call it the J. Cole 1. Maybe this will be similar to the Nike Zoom Generation where next year’s model will be the J. Cole 2. For now, let’s just enjoy this beautifully crafted hoops shoe.
What’s in the video?
In the video, Chris rolls through all the usual categories, providing in depth information all along the way. He supplies what you need to know on the materials, cushioning, traction, support, and fit. Here’s some of what he discusses:
- A history lesson on “The Professor” for the youngbloods
- How to follow Puma Basketball’s Head of Design on Instagram
- An intro to J. Cole for Mrs. Wing and anyone else who needs it
- Can J. Cole actually hoop?
- High abrasion rubber outsole
- Good for casual wear?
- ProFoam midsole
- Ortholite insole
- Premium suede overlays
- Video showing the 3M reflective touches
- On foot video footage
- Sizing recommendations (it’s different than the Clyde Hardwood)
You also get to hear Mrs. Wing’s TIL (today I learned), hear what she thinks the traction pattern resembles, and get her rendition of a couple Hamilton lines. Will Mrs. Wing be leaving the channel for Broadway any time soon? No. But she’s definitely having fun with this whole being on video thing.
