PENSOLE Announces MLab, First Material Design Focused Class

PENSOLE Footwear Design Academy just announced PENSOLE | MLab Powered by Vibram, a four week program that challenges top designers from around the globe by immersing them in a PENSOLE program focused on material design principles.

PENSOLE Footwear Design Academy, based out of Portland, Oregon, is known for its footwear design contests and the talent that comes from the school. This competition will begin after a search for 20 designers from around the world — 12 in footwear, five in color and materials, and three in brand design. The PENSOLE | MLab master class will take place between February 20 to March 17, 2017. The selected designers will compete in designing an athleisure shoe using materials from PENSOLE | MLab’s key vendors and an outsole provided specifically for this competition by Vibram. The winners of the competition will receive compensation from Vibram for the design of the shoe, which will be sold globally.

You can register for the PENSOLE | MLab and get more information about the course here. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Scholarships will be provided for hand-picked designers by Vibram.
