I called the LeBron Ambassador 9 one of Nike’s top performance shoes this year, and it’s still only March (check the performance review). Anxious for more colorways? Look no further.
The shoe features a full mesh breathable upper with fuse overlays in high wear areas and the reflective 2 and 3 on the tongue of the shoe for LBJ. The outsole utilizes a strategic diamond grid grip pattern on XDR rubber. You also have an external rubberized heel counter for proper lockdown and stability. And of course, last but not least, the shoe actually features a forefoot and heel Zoom Air cushioning setup.
We’re still surprised that this shoe hasn’t been released Stateside — probably because this shoe would outperform all the signature models on the roster right now.
The LeBron Ambassador IX has been readily available for quite some time, and more colorways like the new USA colorway, Royal Blue, and Kay Yow (Breast Cancer Awareness) have just released overseas at ID4Shoes. These court beasts are reasonably priced at $130, so grab them while you can.
What do you think of the Ambassador IX? Do you dig the new colorways? Are you interested in copping a pair to play in yourself? Let us know in the comments.
