The Nike Zoom Fly has been given Flyknit for the first time to create the Zoom Fly Flyknit. However, that isn’t the most notable upgrade.
According to the brand, the Zoom Fly Flyknit has now combined the responsive ride of React foam with the breathability of Flyknit (the Zoom Fly has been using Lunarlon). Additionally, the shoe will now feature the full-length carbon fiber plate found in the $250 Zoom Vaporfly 4%. These changes have given the Zoom Fly Flyknit a price bump over the Zoom Fly’s $150 price tag.
The Nike Zoom Fly Flyknit will retail for $160 — the cheapest price yet to get in on the carbon fiber plate in Nike’s running line. It will be available in several neon-on-black colorways come September 13 at select retailers and nike.com.
