This Nike PG 2.5 ‘University Red’ is an Homage to Paul George’s Alma Mater
Bright red kicks aren’t going away anytime soon and the latest to get the treatment is the Nike PG 2.5 ‘University Red’.
Outfitted in the bright red and white of Fresno State Bulldogs, Paul George’s alma mater, the latest PG 2.5 to hit retail will certainly get you noticed on the court. It sports a full-length white speckle and marbled Zoom units underfoot.
As many of you know, the PG 2.5 is pretty much a recycled version of the PG 2. The only difference is the added strap, which comes from the PG 1. “Instead of incorporating Flywire as we did on the original, we conceived a new strap for the PG 2.5 built from a new webbing,” said Nike designer Tony Hardman in a statement.
The Nike PG 2.5 features the 11mm thick forefoot Zoom Air unit, cored-out heel for impact protection, and small TPU shank for torsional rigidity from the PG 2. You can take a look inside that shoe by checking out the Nike PG 2 deconstructed. To find out how this shoe performs check out Nightwing2303’s Nike PG 2 Performance Review.
The Nike PG 2.5 ‘University Red’ is available now at Eastbay.com for $110.
