The debut colorway of Paul George’s first signature shoe has arrived, as the Nike PG 1 ‘Shining’ is available now.
The shoe itself takes inspiration from George’s love of fishing – with Nike recently dropping the fun fact that PG keeps a fishing pole in the trunk of his Ferrari in case he finds a good fishing spot. The traction showcases this hobby, with scales in place of your typical herringbone pattern.
Tech-wise, the shoe boasts a Zoom Air unit in the forefoot. The product description mentions a robust sock liner/insole so there should be decent step-in comfort. The mesh upper will provide breathability while the strap that is linked with Flywire strands should give you a secure lockdown fit in the midfoot.
The basic black upper is contrasted with a silver, iridescent swoosh on the medial and lateral sides.
