EPSN recently revealed a list of the most worn sneakers by active NBA players and the Nike PG 1 took the number one spot ahead of the Nike Kyrie 3.
According to ESPN, 42 active players rock the Nike PG 1 as their go-to on court sneaker while the runner-up Kyrie 3 recorded only 32 wearers.
It is interesting to note that among the top seven sneakers, Nike dominated the list with five shoes: the PG 1, the Kyrie 3, the Kyrie 4, the KD 10, and the LeBron Soldier 11. This may be in part due to the massive signature athlete collection at Nike’s disposal, but it also might speak to the on-court performance of Nike sneakers.
Moreover, many of the models that made the list are guard shoes that are priced right around $110; that may be due to the marketability of guards, especially point guards, and which may be stimulated by the rise of guard play in the NBA. There are some noteworthy exclusions from the list like the Kobe line and Harden line.
