The Nike KD 9 ‘Mic Drop’ is Available Now

Just like a rapper with crazy rhythm, Kevin Durant’s shots provide mic drop moments, which provides the inspiration for the Nike KD 9 ‘Mic Drop’.

The colors can easily give off past black and white colorway nicknames like cookies and cream, oreo, salt and pepper, static, etc. The shoe really looks like a microphone, though, with the black portion in the heel representing the handle and the whiter parts mimicking the mic section.

The Flyknit upper provides a sock-like fit, while the articulated Max Zoom Air cushioning gives you maximum responsiveness, without sacrificing flexibility and court feel. For more info, check out our performance review of the Nike KD 9.

  1. Nightwing, i just saw nike audacity 2016 at nike store. Given the fact that there wasnt a review on first one, maybe you can do this?

  2. Picked these up on Saturday and broke them in immediately on Sunday. Played ball in them for over 2 hours and here’s what I noticed. Everything Nightwing said in his review it spot on. I went true to size and had no issues. There was one thing I noticed when I started playing that seems to disappear as time went on. That one thing was, that on the right shoe and only the right shoe it felt like there was an air bubble under the toe box. It was more noticeable when doing a jab step. As I continued to play in them the “air bubble” disappeared. The one thing that you’ll immediately notice is that these are somewhat of a pain to get on, but once they’re on they’re staying on!! Great shoe and this colorway is sick!! I got a lot of compliments on them. These will be my go to shoes for now.

  3. I just got the chance to run to the mall and tried these on. They are comfortable shoes and I had no real complaints. I also got to try on the Crazy Light All White pair. My Champs, Finishline, Foot Locker, and Adidas Store in the Mall all had them. That being said, I’d probably take the Crazy Light 2016 over these from a comfort and aesthetic standpoint for me. I’ll definitely keep an eye out on these though because if the price goes down or Eastbay lets me use a code on them then I’ll grab them too.
