  1. Love the look of this shoe. If you put a thinner midsole with similar tech to the lebron xi (lunarlon with full length zoom) I would have called these the Kobe x. Will still probably cop one of the next color ways.

  2. Nightwing my Kobe 8 insole has bottomed out so I wanted to know if you knew where I could get any lunarlon insoles to put in my hyperchases, I know Nike used to sell them but when I searched I couldn’t find any?

    1. Why don’t you just get a pair of the KB mentality? You get a decent pair of kicks to play in outside on top of it all

  3. Being a bigger guy I kinda like the PU drop-in(should help durability), since they should hold up longer.

Could the LeBron IV insole work(give ’em a little Full Lenth Zoom)?

  4. fckin love this shoe AESTHETICALLY….the cushion is just seriously disappointing. I just hope it has some impact protection and comfort

  5. I just don’t understand Nike. I really don’t. They have the money, tech, designers, and athletes to make just a blow your mind shoe that is ALSO affordable. A shoe here will have the good cushion, a shoe here will have the design, a shoe here will have fly wire, while another will be bare bones and str8 up ugly and make you wonder why they even made it. I know that someone in Nike sees the comments, the reviews, and all of the other available critique. They just don’t give a f*ck and why should they when they sell? That’s the point of business but I mean, to create something that leaves the consumer feeling like there’s no other option should be the goal. It should scream “Buy me or you’re a d*mn fool who hates looks, comfort, and affordability for what you get.” I’m not saying to make a shoe packed with tech for 80 dollars. I’m saying that some of the lower budget shoes will have a bunch of stuff going for it but lack just one key component where as the expensive shoe will look great but doesn’t necessarily play at its cost. There needs to be more balance. Just when I think that they get it with the Hyper Rev last year with full length, they go back. Then we get a Kobe model with plush Lunar insert for like 100 that play good and can be worn outside and then this. Inconsistency is NOT the key. Rant over. I feel like a real loser for typing all of this actually. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess.

    1. Dude all I gotta say is u gotta play in the shoes before u make those comments. The hyperrevs play very well and I like them more than last year’s. The hyperchase is a really good performer. I think too many ppl r caught up on the tech of shoes and don’t actually PLAY BALL in them anymore, and that’s the point of sites like these on the first place

  6. Thanks Nightwing, really loving the look of these.

But I have a concern, I have to wear custom Orthotics when I play. Will I be able to use my orthotics with the removable insole or would it feel weird?(I guess that goes for the kobe 8-9s, mentality as well.) Would they sit above the og insole or above?

Sorry If this has been asked/ answered!

  7. I had a pair of kobe 9s I just wear around. I switched the midsoles with my new hyperchase. I balled in the kobe 9s with the PU midsole and rocked the hyperchase during the weekend with the lunar insole.

Excellent decision! The Kobes played very stable and the PU midsole plays better than lunar lon imo. It was soft enough for impact protection (balled from 2 hrs str8 and tried some dunks for like 20 mins afterwards) shoes held up really well and I wasn’t sure at all after I took them off. And the hyperchases were comfy af all weekend. I vouch for the kicks wholeheartedly, don’t knock the kicks or the insole till u try it!!!!!

  8. I picked up the Hyperchase “all-star” edition at House of Hoops and hooped in them for over 2 hours in full court runs loved them! Great traction in on the dirtiest of floors worked great justo when I say the gym I hoop at is dirty. Church gym so “special” functions leave it wrecked!! The Hyperchae felt great, good containment, cushion was better then expected, pretty stable considerimg it’s ultra low cut but…I did get a pretty bad heel blister on my left foot!! And I felt a 9 was a bit to tight when trying it on. So I went with a 9 1/2 wich is what I wear in a Kobe 5,6,7,8 and 9 but the Kobe X I needed a size 9? Which is what I wear in anything not “Hyperfuse or enginerred mesh. I would recommend trying on the Hyperchaae 1st if you can a 9 was waaay to tight! But all in all in was a great show and performed awesome!! Hope the blister was just a break in issue? Hey Nightwing lets know if you get any blisters etc. keep up the amazing work!!

    1. Hi! Great to read your first performance impressions!
How would you evaluate the weight of the shoe, compared to superlight Kobe 8s or fairly light Kobe 9s ?
      Thanks a lot!

  9. The shoe kills my toes when running probably cause of the angle of the shoe I’m going to stick to the kyries I wish these were more comfortable

  10. James Harden doesn’t even wear these for games and I know why!! I’ve worn these 6-7 times playing for 2+ hours each. My feet hurt, bad. My toes hurt, bad. My right ankle is sore and my knees start to hurt after playing. I’ve never had foot/ankle/knee problems in my life. I’ve worn Nike and Adidas through my college playing days and now I think it’s time for a switch. Heard nothing but good things from Under Armour??

FYI: Nike ‘Run the One’ are 10x better than Hyperchase. I’m trying to sell these ASAP.

  11. Is that the same drop-in midsole that can be found in the GS models?

I checked out GS Kobe 9s for my girlfriend, and they didn’t have Lunarlon. Their midsoles look similar to the one in the video, except it’s not cored or hollowed out. Wondering if it is/feels the same.
