The summer of 1996 lives on with the return of the Nike Air More Uptempo. We all remember these kicks being laced up by Scottie Pippen while helping the Chicago Bulls to another Championship. However, this particular colorway was worn by Pippen as a member of the USA Basketball team. We all thank Wilson Smith for the iconic design and creating such a memorable and nostalgic shoe.
The classic silhouette is completed with Pippen’s USA jersey number 8 stitched on the heel with the obvious leather upper of the word ‘AIR’ stitched all along the midfoot. Nike Air Max cushioning is visible on the shoe as with the large red Nike Swoosh on the outsole.
This nostalgic piece of hardware for your feet is set to return July 20, with a price tag of $160 for men’s and $130 for kid’s sizing. The Nike Air More Uptempo will be available via SNKRS and all available Nike retailers.
