Nike Sportswear is bringing back all the 90’s classics, and the Black/ Royal Air Max Sensation is just the latest.
I’m very pleased with the revamped materials and the improved craftsmanship from the brand as well. To me, nothing really beats classics from the past. Something about the designs are just timeless to me. As long as they’re done right then they’ll almost always get the nod form me.
Check the detailed look and review on the Nike Air Max Sensation Retro below, and let us know if you plan on grabbing a pair once they become more widely available. Only place I’ve seen them – besides in-store – is at Sneaker Politics, but they’re only accepting phone orders.
What a throwback! Looking great.
Nothing to do with these, but have you heard of a retro release of the Air Jet Flight? Really NEED those!
Well, since you asked the question why choose one over the other, it is the same reason why you thought of cutting the straps off of your pair. The straps kill that shoe aesthetically. From a so called performance perspective, the straps added nothing to that shoe either, it was just a gimmick. When they first released they were ridiculously expensive, and then were the reason why Chris Webber actually left Nike. He, Webber, didn’t want his name attached to a one hundred fifty dollar shoes, especially while kids were getting shot and robbed over expensive kicks in the hood.
Those are really nice! Brings back a lot of memories. I wish Nike would retro more Pippens, i.e. Pippen 3s and 4s. Anyway, I have a question about these kicks, specifically the plastic lace loops… I had a pair of Barkleys (forgot the name but it was designed after a straight jacket) that had same lace loops and they would each have a slit that would “lock” the laces. I hated this feature as I could never get a good fit as the laces would easily lock at each loop… do these have that slit to lock the laces? If not, I might get these to ball in.
You mentioned the heal air max is not as huge as it used to be. How’s the heal to toe transition compared to original? The original was my go to game shoes due to this transition on jump shots. I hated the last version with material changes. Thanks!
Feels firm to me. But that’s bc PU is firm compared to newer foam like Phylon.
Nice pick up NW! I think the answer to your question “Why people only buy Jordans and not so many other shoes from the 90s?” is simple. We the children of the 90s appreciate and buy those shoes but the majority of today’s solvent “sneakerheads” are too young to remember and relate to those. Jordans on the other hand are everybody can relate to even if never seen Jordan playing.
In reply to PT, how is that so though… because most of the dudes that I know, know nothing about Jordan, nor know how they relate to them… I believe it’s a “status symbol” and that’s how this younger generation treats them.
