Charles Barkley’s second signature shoe in the Nike Air Max CB ’94 has returned, this time in a nubuck adorned black and bronze colorway.
This version of the CB ’94 really plays with the a combination materials, with a black nubuck on the majority of the upper. The pieces that overlay the nubuck is made out of a charcoal colored canvas, with bronze dots across the material. That third-place color is also evident on the inside of the Air Max bubble.
The sneaker design, particularly the overlays, are inspired by a straight jacket to resemble Barkley’s crazy personality on and off the court. The Round Mound of Rebound wore this model starting in the 1994 playoffs with the Phoenix Suns, and into the 94-95 season.
The Nike Air Max CB ’94 Black/ Bronze is currently available at Foot Locker locations across the U.S. Let us know your thoughts on the shoes in the comments below.
Tons of people in my school wore this model back then. I always wanted this pair (along with the Penny 1’s) and it’s on my list of “when I have money in the future, I’m definitely getting this”. Do you know if there’s already a release date on this? Also the classic Phoenix colorway White/Black/Purple
I’m not usually one for shoe comparisons, but these uncannily resemble the Kamikaze 1. (Or vice versa, depending on which was the first)
