Swoosh is riding the Retro wave hard, and it is doing it with models that mnay love. The Air Max Uptempo series has been re-released over the past few months in handsome Militia Green and black colorways. However, with the All-Star Game in New Orleans days away, Swoosh decided to echo the Pantone look for the latest updated Uptempos.
The Nike Air Max 2 Uptempo features an entirely University Blue upper. It is constructed with a mix of suede/nubuck and mesh overlay panels along the midfoot. This shoe sits atop a Phylon midsole a heel 180 Air Max unit for responsive cushioning. If you remember these bad boys from 1994, then it probably brings back lots memories from the Chris Webber and the Warrior days.
For those interested in a pair, these bad boys are set to release on February 18 for $140. You can get yourself a pair at most Nike retailers and stores such as Sneaker Politics, located in New Orleans (the store is hosting a number of events for ASW, click here).
