Nike Air Huarache ‘Triple Black’ – Restocked

The ever-popular Huarache runner continues to fly off shelves (and restock). The Nike Air Huarache ‘Triple Black’ is available now at Finish Line.

This colorway was one of the first to release in 2014 as a reintroduction to the classic Tinker Hatfield designed running shoe. As the nickname suggests, the shoe has a blackout theme across the entire shoe, except the branding on the tongue and insole. The success of the model contrasts the initial release of the silhouette, as the Huarache didn’t pick up much steam when it slowly released in 1991. You can see the full backstory of the Air Huarache model at this article.

In terms of materials and technology, the shoe boasts a soft, Phylon midsole with heel and forefoot Zoom Air units for responsiveness. The upper is made up of a black nubuck, while the toe box, tongue and the connected inner bootie is made up of neoprene.

  1. I picked up the platinum colorway of the Haurache. Ive never worn a running shoe before this one, but I can say that it has been my go-to shoe for regular use. It’s so comfortable that I even added regular running as part of my exercises. I didn’t know they had heel and forefoot zoom units, but now I see why it’s so comfortable yet responsive.

Goes to show that sometimes that even with old tech, when executed well, can be more comfortable and sometimes perform just as well as new tech.

  2. I read somewhere else that they’re regular air units.

Does anyone know for sure if they’re zoom air or just regular air units?
