Nike Air Frequency Pack Celebrates ’90s Hip-Hop with Playboi Carti and Foot Locker

Foot Locker and Nike’s latest Air Frequency Pack follows the “Discover Your Air” campaign the brands unveiled in August. It uses the same Air Max silhouettes and gives them black and yellow colorways to honor iconic ’90s hip-hop.

The Air Frequency pack also utilizes the same silhouettes as the Discover Your Air pack but this time we get Atlanta rapper Playboi Carti unearthing a time capsule and finding the product. If you don’t understand check out the video below (and don’t dare ask what a pager is).

The latest pack includes the black and yellow Air Max Plus ‘Frequency’ ($160), the white/yellow/black Air Max Plus / 97 ‘Frequency’ ($170), and the black and yellow Air Max 95 ‘Frequency’ ($170). The shoes in this pack appear to be an unofficial homage to the legendary black and yellow clad Wu-Tang Clan.

Available Friday, September 14, the Air Frequency pack is a Foot Locker family exclusive, meaning you’ll be able to pick up these kicks at Foot Locker, Footaction, Champs Sports, and Eastbay.com.

The Air Max Plus / 97 seemed to be the hot seller from the first pack (it’s quite nice on-foot), but only release day will tell the favorite of the Air Frequency pack. Let us know which model you’re feeling most in the comments below.
