MKBHD Introduces Stephen Curry’s Latest Sneaker, the Curry 5

After two very limited releases of the Curry 5 ‘Pi Day’, the Under Armour Curry 5 is getting its first wide release today. The brand even enlisted tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee, aka MKBHD, to help introduce the shoe.

Dressed in a multicolor and Neon Coral look, this Curry 5 offers a simple knitted base with a striking Anafoam overlay. A simple white midsole and icy blue translucent outsole complete the rest of the shoe.

According to Under Armour, the Curry 5 ‘Pi Day’ offers containment areas in the forefoot lateral wall and the heel to lock in the foot. The sneaker uses a circular construction built through the framing of the 90-degree angle of the foot, and full-length EVA midsoles for lightweight cushioning. The shoe weights 11.8 ounces.

The Curry 5 ‘Neon Coral’ is available now at for $130 in men’s sizes and $110 in boys sizes. It is also available at and Under Armour Brand Houses.

  1. No mention of the inner lining that tears up your feet?
I know I’ll eventually get a pair since I’m a Warriors fan but I’ll keep them for casual use.

  2. 10’s on the outside. 0’s on the inside. Its like a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model….. who’s secretly a Nazi.

    1. Hah good one, good way to make the Swimsuit model even worse is to make her secretly a communist.

And dang UA needs to fix that inside part

  3. Trying to use a YouTuber because literally no one outside of Curry would really endorse this shoe…it just sounds like UA is subjecting themselves to run through the motions to release this shoe through its lifetime since it came so soon after the 4 —only to be met with a half-assed marketing campaign and negative reviews.

They’re really stretching with this claimed “pi” inspiration. It’s not that I hate UA, but this line has been sounding like a dumpster fire since the 4 and its undisclosed cushion.
