Meet the adidas Falcon W, the Three Stripes Answer to the Nike M2K Tekno

adidas Originals Falcon W 4

The adidas Falcon W will land this week.

It appears that adidas is diving head first into the trend of bulky dad shoes from the ’90s; the brand has unveiled another new silhouette, the adidas Originals Falcon W. This comes mere days after WearTesters reported that adidas is set to release the Ultra Tech and the Yung Chasm in the coming months, both bulky sneakers that are very on-trend.

In a makeover of the adidas Falcon Dorf from the ’90s, the Falcon W is, for now, a women’s exclusive that features a combination of black mesh with grey suede overlays to go along with branded and reflective panels. There is a lightweight EVA midsole underfoot for that nostalgic ’90s feel during casual wear. Lastly, the heel is molded for adequate support on a sneaker designed for casual use. Being a women’s release, the shoe appears to be competing with Nike’s recently released women’s M2K Tekno — another bulky shoe released for this trend.

The adidas Originals Falcon W ‘Pink/Gray/Black/Blue’ is set to release on June 2 for $150 (that’s $50 more than the M2K Tekno). You can find the shoe on adidas.com and select adidas retailers come release day but keep it locked to WearTesters for any updates on when the shoe will release over at Eastbay.com.

What do you think of the adidas Falcon W? Will you cop it — for yourself or your significant other — or does it look too much like a Yeezy model? Shout your thoughts down in the comment section below.
