Yet another new three stripes model has popped up, and this time it’s exclusively for women. Meet the adidas EdgeBounce.
Since the AlphaBounce’s release about two years ago it has been a hit with consumers mainly due to the fact that it was an affordable ($100) and comfortable runner. Now, adidas is hoping to captivate women with an updated build specifically tailored to their needs.
Meet the adidas EdgeBounce, a sneaker created in collaboration with adidas ambassadors Ally Love, Chinae Alexander, Jera Foster-Fell, and Meagan Kong. According to adidas, these four women worked with the brand for 18 months to help create the perfect sneaker that catered to their multi-sport lifestyle as well as a one that performs well in the gym.
As a result, the adidas EdgeBounce features an internal fit system that locks down into the sockliner for an adaptive and adjustable fit throughout the sneaker. There is also a textile mesh in the upper to contain the foot on lateral movements. All this sits atop a Bounce midsole for comfort regardless of the activity and a rubber outsole with a micro-blade traction pattern.
“EdgeBounce doesn’t compromise on style and support. It’s functional enough to provide the support I need as a runner but stylish enough to ear out after my workout,” Ally Love, founder of Love Squad and NBA Host, said in a statement. “Working with a brand that listens to our feedback and creates a product based on our needs is really special.”
The adidas EdgeBounce is available now at Eastbay.com for $100. Eastbay has also stocked an EdgeBounce Mid for $110. Keep it locked to WearTesters for any upcoming news and colorways concerning the EdgeBounce.
