We’ve been reporting on this vintage-inspired Boost-equipped runner since late 2016, and many have been eagerly awaiting its arrival. Now, it’s here.
Available in five colorways, three for men and two for women, the Iniki Runner uses classic styling combined with modern tech for a classy look with contemporary comfort.
Retailing for $120, colorways are available at sneakersnstuff.com and adidas.com (the grey colorway sold out on adidas is available at SNS). We’ve been hearing some things about sizing (#adidasproblems) so you may want to go half a size down or try them on in-store!
Let us know if you pick up this latest adidas Originals offering.
why can’t the grey ones have a gum outsole too………
I was thinking the same thing…
Pretty much surprised by these. Materials + Boost is on point.
Comfortable? Absolutely. IMHO better than the NMDs. Must be the boost+insole combo I guess. But still not on UB level.
Containment/Fit? NMDs are better. The Inikis are probably too comfortable that the materials stretch a lot, especially the spandex-like material on the forefoot.
Definitely a shoe to be tried on in-store. At best, probably go TTS or downsize. Definitely wouldn’t recommend going up in these.
Thank you for the info!
so UB caged/uncaged > Iniki> NMD in terms of comfort?
IMO, yes.
ok, so far have tested UBs and the Pureboost 2017. Ill try to grab an Iniki soon
Let us know!
the iniki boost is nice but the upper is very unrestricted with just the almost seamless upper booty. The nmd has those two kinda panels in the boost to give it a bit more stability and a more secure lock-down snug fit. The iniki is a shoe you want to wear all day, the adidas boost does give back a lot of energy in terms of bounce back. The kind of most uncomfortable thing about the shoe is the weight of the metal lace tips, they almost weight more then the shoes.
