Reebok Classics has been on fire lately by bringing back silhouettes like the Daytona DMX and dropping completely new twists to the Classic Leather and Workout Plus with the Alter the Icons series. One of the first to bring his creativity to the Vector brand was Lil Yachty and now, he gets to put his touch on one of the best retros to come from Reebok this year: the Aztrek.
Originally, the Reebok Aztrek was designed as an anywhere and everywhere runner that was suitable for track and off-road. Designed by Christian Tresser and released in 1993, the shoe was serious about performance.
Now, 25 years later, performance may have passed the Aztrek by (although it is still a crazy-nice design and seriously comfortable), but that doesn’t mean it can’t still hold its own — especially with rapper Lil Yachty on board.
Taking the nylon-and-suede upper in white, a black Vector was added to the side panels while Excellent Red was used for the Reebok branding on the sides and heels. Black hits accent the midsole while the Hexalite cushioning in the heel keeps the comfort on high. Clean and simple with an attitude for anything, the Aztrek has returned like it never left.
