Kyrie and Kids Foot Locker Donate 190 Pairs to Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland

As far as I’m concerned, if you have a signature sneaker of your own, or make millions of dollars a year in sports, there is no reason not to give back in whatever ways you can. This past weekend, Kyrie Irving and Kids Foot Locker donated almost 200 pairs of shoes to Boys & Girls Clubs or Cleveland.

In celebration of the Cleveland Cavaliers unprecedented Playoff comeback and Championship run, Kids Foot Locker donated one pair of Kyrie’s signature shoes for each point the athlete scored in the seven-game NBA Finals series against the Golden State Warriors — that comes to 190 pairs. According to Foot Locker, club members received the shoes during a visit to Irving’s basketball camp, Kyrie Irving Basketball ProCamp, in Independence, Ohio on Saturday, July 9.

With all that’s happened in these past weeks it’s good to see athletes give back. Take a look at the photos below and share your thoughts in the comments below. Do you want to see more athletes helping communities?
