Jordan Super.Fly 4

Jordan Brand plans on continuing the Super.Fly series with the Super.Fly 4.

These look awesome from a performance standpoint. The upper should be some sort of woven with foam structure like what we saw with the CP3.VIII AE. Cushion will be Unlocked Zoom with the Flight Plate setup but the forefoot Zoom unit is massive–the largest Zoom Air unit to be unlocked to this point. Unless they decided to drastically change things from their wear-test samples, these will likely appease a lot of players that want some great cushion.

  1. I like the look a lot, but am curious as to how transition will be affected by the implementing of a separated heel and forefoot. Are there any pics of the forefoot Zoom bag available?

  2. Yes I would also like to know if there is any pics of the forefoot zoom. Do you happen to know if it will have heel zoom or what cushion setup is for the heel?

  3. Seems like JB has upped the protection for the zoom bag pop issue. Haven’t read that much on Super.Fly 3’s popping (although XX9’s do surprisingly) and now they’re going even bigger.

Can’t see much but hopeful that they keep the Flight Web lacing

  4. WOOOOOO WEEEEEE those are hot. Clean and super functional. Looks like APL and Melo 11’s had a baby. lol

  5. Woven Foam upper, Rear dual dense cushion, no zoom.
Forefoot tri-base zoom. Grip was superb. Wish they had heavier/dense outsole rigger for lateral movement. They fit super-snug based upon WT. I suggest going up 1/2 size. (for the narrow foot)

    1. By tri-base zoom, do you mean that zoom bag up front is now three pieces??

This is something I’ve thought would be awesome ever since trying the XX8.

      1. Thanks so much for the inside details. I’m DEFINITELY getting these upon release. I’m a quick shooting guard (but I love cushioning to protect my knees). I wear 9.5’s in the Jordan XX9’s (semi-narrow foot). Should I still go up half a size for these?
        TIA

    2. NY, would you say that this upper is more flexible that the SF3? In other words, is it more forgiving to your feet? I didn’t hate the SF3 but they did take a little break in.

      1. Completely forget about the SF3 materials, this is a totally different shoe in terms of being called the SF4. The upper-overlay is an easy wrap to foot as soon as you put on, similar to xx8 V2.

  6. It’s so bland I can’t believe it isn’t a melo.
Although right beside the melo at the outlets is where I shall have these for under 70.

  7. These look very promising. The Superfly 2 is still one of my favorites and these could be even better. However if they really fit that snug that could be a deal breaker for me.

  8. I am always concerned when the lateral view is shown first. I need to see the medial side, and then how the lacing system looks as well, before I jump on board. I like what I see though.

  9. Then there’s also that grey Jordan shoe on the 2nd page. (Flywire, Flight Plate and perforations on the upper similar to the M11) What model is that? (it seems to be a bit clunky to be the next Melo…)

That sheet starts off with a Zoom Trece: Paul George’s sig?

  10. Love it from a performance standpoint though aesthetically it’s a bit dull. I like that they are going to a more stable, fuller heel and making it a bit more of a big man’s shoe from the looks of things. The forefoot unlocked Zoom/Flight Plate setup has improved each year and these look like they will continue that trend. I am excited to play in these for sure.
