Thanks to the people at Jordan Brand, I was able to slide a pair of Blake’s (and Marvin’s) new shoe, the Super.Fly 4. I have been really REALLY looking forward to the new forefoot JZoom (their words) unit and how it plays as compared to unlocked Zoom. I played in these last night after I filmed this video so here are my first impressions after 6 full court games:
Zoom unit – not as responsive as Unlocked from the XX8 – more like the XX9 – that isn’t necessarily a bad thing
Traction – BEAST MODE but thin rubber and soft – not outdoors IMO
Fit – Locked and tight
Materials – CP3.VIII AE – very nice
Transition – Sleek and fast

They look great, for my size they might be a bit too flexible, but for most they should be an awesome option.
Foam in the heel Duke or Air?
Foam heel but it’s solid. I really didn’t notice it.
I’ve had these sitting in my cart for days I just can’t decide if I’d actually wear these off court with anything.
Wait for a different colorway man. Don’t buy them if you don’t like the colorway.
I would 100% buy these if I thought the MtM colorway would be a collectors shoe or something super special. I love the ads and watched mini Space Jam 2 at least 5 times. I still have my Marvin the Martian Space Jam Rocket Ship toy that folded out into a basketball game. Maybe this is a Christmas shoe? Idk. I’d buy this strictly for the Character but the the MtM 7s also come out soon.
I also can’t go to Finish Line or Foot Locker or anything cuz I’m waiting for surgery in a few weeks and can’t walk for longer than 15ish mins before being in pain. Hence why I can comment/visit this site all day long hahaha

Tried these on the other day and I was a bit disappointed to be honest. First of all the fit has changed compared to previous Super Fly models, which is a pity because they used to fit me perfectly. Now the fore foot area is a bit too narrow for me. And imo Nike already has enough basketball sneakers with a snug fit. Also the materials felt kinda cheap. However they are very ligt and the outsole rubber is very soft which could be a good sign tracton-wise but overall I expected a bit more.
Can anyone give me the abridged version of what “unlocked zoom” is? what it does?
