Jordan Melo M11 ‘Christmas’ – Detailed Look & Review

Here is a detailed look at the upcoming Jordan Melo M11 ‘Christmas’. These are designed to pay homage to the Air Jordan 7 ‘Cardinal’ colorway that MJ wore in the ’92 Christmas Day game. Their release date is scheduled for Dec. 24th with a retail price of $170.

  1. Wow! I’m blown away at how awesome these Melos look. Those extra black laces would look great on the black/gold colorway. My only gripe about past Melos was the weight and bulkiness, but these look much lighter. This Cardinal inspired colorway is nice too. I can’t decide which color to get.

      1. That’s actually amazing. It probably has to do with the tpu surrounding the midsole on the XX9. Although I gotta say that’s one of my favorite attributes of the XX9.

  2. Is it just me or these kinda remind me of either a) Brandblack JCrossover 2 or b) li-ning any of the WOW series. So much originality from team JB.

  3. Hey Nightwing do these have foam in the heel like the XX9s? Also do you think this its better/more comfortable than having pebax in the heel like the 28s? Idk if it was the pebax or the zoom that made the heel feel kinda stiff. Do you think its probably good thing that they removed the pebax in the heel regardless of what kind of cushioning they use?

  4. What about the tendril for the M11? I’ve read where they say its there but I didn’t see it. I’m curious about that because I had no issues with transitions with the 28SEs.

      1. NIGHTWING I watched all your reviews on these and I can tell you favor the Christmas ones because of the genuine leather. My question is do you think the genuine leather makes them better performance wise in anyway as far as weight, flexibility, or breathibility?

        1. This pair weighs .1 Oz more than the synthetic pairs, so I dont thing there will be too much difference. Just weather you want ‘quality’ materials or not. Though I’m sure the more you wear the genuine leather pair they’ll be slightly more comfortable.

          1. OK you sold me on these NIGHTWING! LOL and the color scheme helps. Thanks for the heads up and keep doing what your doing. I don’t know how you have the patience for all the questions and rediculous opinions people throw at you!

      2. Thanks, NW. I will check that review again. The Internet has changed how sneaker companies advertise. How does it feel to be part of that change? I actually visit your site way more than I do JB or Nike. It’s the same with sites like Eastbay, Foot Locker, etc.
I’m sure it’s the same for everyone else who visits your site. Thanks for all the hard work.

  5. You know what, you mentioned on how the Melo M11 and Melo M10 are a more traditional set up compared to the Air Jordan XX9 and Air Jordan XX8 respectively, right? Now that statement gave me a HUGE what-if thought in terms of how all four of those shoes are built. What if the Melo M11 is actually another silhouette alternative to the Air Jordan XX9 other than the failsafe paisley alternative?

  6. Do these flex better than the SF3’s? I am a guard and do not want a really stiff shoe that does not flex or move but love the way JB uses the flight plate but do not want to put out $225 for the 29’s.

  7. Hey NW, How’s the fit so far? I’ve been looking at the Xmas release due for the leather upper and am asking as I had to go a size up on the M10 YOTH colorway. Unfortunately my local stores did not get the JB Holidays releases so I was unable to get a pair or try them on.

    Thanks

  8. Hey this is a kind of weird question, but is the m11 Christmas different from the other kinds(like different material)? Thanks.
