Jordan Jumpman Pro Strong Scheduled to Re-Release in 2018

2018 will mark the 20 year anniversary of the Jordan Jumpman Pro Strong. To celebrate, Jordan Brand will be bringing the shoe back in retro form for the second time.

There will be multiple colorways releasing throughout 2018 — some we’ve seen in the last round of Retro releases and some that we’ve never seen before. Will the two original colorways from 1998 see a return? We’re not sure, but we hope so.

Tech specs are currently unknown but the original version of the shoe was an Air Jordan 13 clone. It featured heel and forefoot Zoom Air, a carbon fiber midfoot shank, and a leather upper. It was heavier than the AJ13 and geared towards “strong” power players on the court such as Vin Baker — the shoe’s signature endorser.

There is no official word on price and release date but expect to see the Jordan Jumpman Pro Strong return to retail sometime in 2018.

Let us know if you’re excited for the Jumpman Pro Strong to return below in the comment section below.

  1. Bring it back in all of it’s heavy-as-hell glory. I swear one shoe weighed as much as a pair of 13s. The second Jumpman Strongs (if that was the name) were much lighter.

  2. just make it a proper retro JB.
not like what you did to the jordan 15, removing the zoom
us old folks would appreciate it
    thank you

  3. The Baker-Jumpman Pro Strong legacy must continue with Ron Baker.

Odds are he’s gonna be the best player on the team anyway.
