Jordan Brand Takes Over Las Vegas With The “First To Fly” Event

Jordan Brand has taken over Las Vegas with their “First To Fly” event in order to celebrate the upcoming launch of the Jordan Super.Fly 4.

The event started yesterday and will run through Saturday night. There are plenty of activities to partake in, with the main attraction being the “Kaboom Room,” a virtual dunking experience that displays the power of each participant’s dunk on a massive LED screen and court. AAU participants and fans can experience the latest in Jordan Brand performance footwear with Super.Fly 4 trialing, a consumer store featuring the latest performance products and Marvin the Martian apparel, plus a premium players’ lounge including amenities such as massages, a barber shop, video games, and plenty of bowling – even with Jordan Brand athletes. Outside the venue, the public can catch a glimpse of Marvin’s spaceship crash landing as part of his search for Blake Griffin and the Jordan Super.Fly 4.

Check the video for a Day 1 recap and inside look, and let us know if you’re excited to play in the Super.Fly 4.

  1. If Jordan Brand is keeping the 30s under such tight lockdown that there still aren’t leaks of it, then I’m hoping for something big.

    1. That’s how I feel. We haven’t even seen a glimpse yet. Not even a confirmed silhouette. Nothing. Not to mention we have more budget friendly models getting tech like unlocked zoom. So what does that mean with the 30? I’m intrigued.

      1. I am not sure if this is possible because I have never played in unlocked
zoom but what if they make full length unlocked zoom. I imagine there would balance/durability issues. They could make in the shape of a foot so that it has a bit of more surrounding rubber

    2. I think they are still working on it. They were trying to make it in China, but needed to make it in Italy.

  2. The district manager for a shoe store in the mall said her boss (The regional manager) was told no more legacy models. They’re focusing on retro js from here on out bc the legacies are too expensive and they don’t get a big enough return to justify making any more. Again…It’s just what I heard!!!

    1. What do you mean by no more legacy models? They’re not releasing any retros other than Jordans? Is that what you mean?

  3. No, a legacy model is an og, for example last year’s legacy model was the 29, the year before that it was the 28, the year before the 2012 and so on. Retro Jordan’s are Jordan’s that have previously been released, example this year is all 7s last year was a bunch of 4s and so on and what have you. Apparently, and again this is just what I hear from a some what reliable source, there will be no 30,31….and so on and so forth. They’re from what I was told no longer economically viable after they started remastering the retroes. The Tetris are less expensive to manufacture and get a greater return.

    1. Trololololol
      A nice try though 😉
Jordan Brand would loose a lot of credability for new models. Look at any Brand in any Sport. They all build signaturemodels. Those signaturemodels are based on the athlets status. How would any brand just give up on the status of THE GOAT. People are still discussing who is the next Jordan.

          1. No hurt feelings, Just telling it like I heard it. Besides, we haven’t gotten a single leak our image our tease our anything. So to me, it kinda makes sense.

  4. I love that Jordan’s are always changing design. I wasnt into shoes AT ALL just a few years ago, and when I was a kid I knew nothing about what was on my feet, so I’d see a Superfly, a 28, a 3rd random J, and have no clue what each one meant. Like I was making fun of sneakerheads and id be like “idiots, Jordan has like 4 different shoes this hear, what a waste of money”… Ya. Moron. Now, damn I wish I was buying them every year. The 28 was sick. I loved the first model 29, and they looked SO different. I’m 100% getting the 30 but damn these Superflys look quality. Marvin the Martian was my favorite Looney Toon too. Can’t decide whether I want to ID these or just buy a pair. I’m thinking ID everything other than the yearly Jordan release. Idk.
