On March 28, Jordan Brand and world famous artist Brian Donnelly aka Kaws showcased their debut collection in Shanghai, China. On the very same day, Kaws’ first large solo exhibit in Asia Kaws: At the End opened to the public at the Shanghai Yuyhueyao Art Museum. Senior Design Director of Special Projects at Jordan Brand Gemo Wong linked with Kaws in Shanghai to bring the two brands together for the special event.
Of course, Jordan Brand designated a shopping experience within the Kaws exhibit to allow the first attendees to purchase the Kaws x Jordan Brand collection that included shirts, jackets, hoodies, and the much-anticipated Kaws x Jordan 4 Retro.
“Kaws and street culture culminate into a contemporary art circle, which now includes fashion as it works freely and influences all over the world,” said Gemo Wong in a translated statement. “The Jordan x Kaws series creates a history of the shoe culture including the benchmark and the rebels that meet in order to pass the traditional spirit of transition into a new generation of consumers.”
