Jordan Brand Enters the Skateboarding Market with Upcoming Nike SB Collaboration

Jordan Brand teams up with Nike SB to make the Air Jordan 1 OG a skateboard-friendly version of the iconic classic.

The Jumpman team is in full attack mode, making sure your feet are laced with heat for its upcoming mid-spring and summer line.

Jordan Brand really wanted to show some love and focus on the skateboarding community and its love and affinity for the Jordan 1 since 1985.

Utilizing a rare OG colorway, Jordan Brand pays tribute to LA-based skaters while the leather treatment will rub off with wear to show an entirely new look under the original finish along with the ‘Light Bone/Crimson Pink’ colorway. Zoom Air equipped insoles have also been added to the Air Jordan 1 X Nike SB editions of the shoe for added comfort.

You can expect the Air Jordan 1 Lows in ‘Sail/Gym Red/Black’, ‘White/White/GM Yellow-Hyper Pink’ and the ‘White/Black-Gym Red’ to release throughout the Summer of 2019 — no specific release dates have been set and prices were not given.

What do you think of the upcoming colorways for the Air Jordan 1 High, Mid’s, Low’s and SB’s? Which pair catches your eye the most? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

  1. Man why can’t Jordan brand do this with all those older models? My little brother bought a Converse Jack Purcell few years back and when i checked it’s insole it got full length zoom air underneath, surely it wouldn’t be too hard for Nike and all it’s subsidiary to do that. Would be dope for retros.

    1. Well it’s not JB, it’s Nike SB series. Some of them are ZOOM SB’s hence the Zoom Air on the heel on the insole. It’s a different series, much like the Lance mountain ones released a few years back.
It’s trying different things. Can’t please everyone though.

  2. underrated Jordan line. sneakerjocks will pass on these easily which is good for us real sneaker wearers.
