Holy sh*t, the ‘Alternate Motorsport’ Air Jordan 4 Retro is beautiful!
This is what I’m talking about. Nightwing Air Jordan 4s all-day!
Updating a classic isn’t easy, but if you’re going to do it this is how to do it right. The leather looks great — I really wish the brand used this leather on the Jumpman Pro Retro. I believe the ‘Royalty’ Air Jordan 4 would’ve looked (and sold) a lot better had the gold accents been coupled with a premium black leather build rather than the hit-or-miss suede Jordan Brand went with instead.
Taking a colorway we all know and love, the Black/Cement Air Jordan 4, and placing the old Jordan Motorsport racing colors in place of the Chicago Bulls-themed red was a great idea and looks perfect. From a casual standpoint, these just became my most anticipated retro model of the year; I cannot wait for these to release.
If you’ll also be after a pair, you’ll have to wait until June 17 as that is the current release date. Retail price was not disclosed in the unveil, but it should be $190. We’ll update you closer to the release date if that changes.
