NikeLab just dropped a different looking runner than we’re accustomed to. Four colorways of the Nike Payaa are releasing.
Many will compare the shoe to the Roshe, due to the similar mesh upper, but there’s a little more complexity to the Payaa. The lacing system is pretty unique, with just a pull of the lace lock improving the fit in a cinch. The collar is also lined with foam and the insole is made out of leather so there’s additional comfort. The midsole looks very much like the Hyperdunk 2015 as the heel counter streamlined with the sole.
Design-wise the Nike Payaa inspired by the payaaqek, a Native Alaskan boot that is known for its simplicity.
