Buddy Hield is thinking about the generations to come after him. Every hand shake, every picture, every backpack that he gave away has impacted the community in the Bahamas.
Chavano Rainer “Buddy” Hield is a professional basketball player for the Sacramento Kings, but he is more than just a basketball player.
In his first two years as an NBA Shooting Guard, Buddy has averaged 14.9 PPG while shooting 44.6%. While Buddy is working daily to improve those stats, something he has already accomplished between his rookie and sophomore season, there is another love of his that occupies his time.
Giving back to the community that raised him, Buddy is actively giving back to his community in the Bahamas. With the recent Hurricane Dorian wreaking havoc throughout most of the island, a lot of what Buddy once knew is now demolished.
I personally know many people who still need rescuing, and there are thousands without medical help, power, food, or other basic necessities. Bahamians are a strong people, but they still need our help to get them through this. So today, I’ve donated $100,000 to the Hurricane Dorian Relief in the Bahamas. I’d like to ask you to please donate alongside me.
