Here’s LeBron’s Next Sneaker, the LeBron Soldier 12

nike lebron soldier 12

The LeBron Soldier 12 has leaked, and while it resembles many of the Soldier sneakers that have preceded it, it has one big upgrade.

That upgrade is Battleknit, the thicker and more resilient Flyknit introduced on the LeBron 15. Reinforcing that knit are what appear to be canvas or ballistic nylon panels at the toebox and heel.

The LeBron Soldier 12, like many of the Soldier models before it, will retain its no-lacing strapped-up closure system that many either love or hate. However, the tooling looks new, so it is unclear what sort of cushioning the latest Soldier model will use. If it follows the LeBron Soldier 11, expect huge Zoom Air units in the heel and forefoot. (You can learn more by taking a look inside the LeBron Soldier 11 deconstructed.)

LeBron’s secondary line usually gets new models around April-May, so expect the Nike LeBron Soldier 12 to be unveiled in the coming weeks. For now, remember that most shoes look terrible in leaked images.

    1. Thought the same about the resemblance with the 9. I like how it looks, even with that camo print.

  1. Finally, a shoe with straps that has the loop thingy so that you can pull the straps tighter. The Soldier 9 had straps like this, but the shoe was too stiff for me.

  2. This looks very promising… Hopefully they price it in line with the Soldier 11s, if so, they’re as good as copped. Here’s hoping they don’t screw something up that should be easy to get right, like the traction.

  3. They just keep getting worse. Sorry y’all but I’m not in pre k and don’t need straps. I’m an adult and can tie some laces. I ain’t scared.

    1. I don’t need to hop into the car to drive around the corner to the store, but I’m not about to walk there if I have a car… I ain’t scared to walk, but being lazy is way easier.
