Gucci Mane is the latest talent to join Reebok Classic’s creative roster.
The Reebok Workout Plus was originally launched in 1986 as a fitness sneaker for the gym and the streets. The sneaker is back in 2017 by way of collabs and runways — it’s a staple for old heads and millennials alike. The EG build features a soft suede upper, high abrasion rubber outsoles, and a padded foam sockliner.
“It’s really exciting to be part of the Reebok fam and get the opportunity to star in my own campaign,” said Gucci Mane in a statement. “I’ve been a big fan of Reebok since day one, and the Workout is one of my favorite styles because of its look and long heritage, especially in Atlanta and the South. It’s a style that’s stood the test of time and I’m excited to put my own take on it through this campaign.”
Gucci Mane’s Workout Plus EG campaign was shot at Attic Studios in New York by renowned photographer Daniel Regan (videography by Thuan Tran and styled by Jason Rembert).
Gucci Mane is fresh off the release of his new book The Autobiography of Gucci Mane and his latest album Mr. Davis.
The Reebok Workout Plus EG is available at Reebok.com and Jimmy Jazz for $85.
There is no official word on how long the partnership is for, but Gucci Mane has an iced-out Reebok DMX Run 10 collab coming so his work with Reebok is just beginning.
