A Gold/Black adidas CrazyLight Boost 2016

The Three Stripes has been killing it lately with its Boost technology and abundance of shoes it has been releasing. As you know, we are particularly interested in the basketball kicks. Since the release of the adidas CrazyLight Boost 2016, it’s had nothing but positive reviews. (In case you missed it, you can read the review by Nightwing HERE.) It’s only natural that we’ll see more colorways in the coming weeks.

We’re really digging this particular colorway. The gold and black Jacquard upper pairs nicely with the matte collar, heel cup, and upper eyestay. The gold accents on the adidas branding at the heel and James Harden logo on the tongue add some pop. What’s even more interesting is the smoked-out translucent outsole with gold flecking that makes for a supremely classy look. There is little doubt that this shoe would look great on and off the court.

This adidas CrazyLight Boost could be the Three Stripes’ stab at an Olympic or Gold Medal colorway as almost every brand related to sports is trying to capitalize on the Rio Olympics this year.

As difficult as it’s been going to a store to find a pair of adidas CLB2016’s (they’re sold out at many locations), there has been no release date on these bad boys yet so keep it locked. In the meantime, let us know what you think in the comments.

  1. If this shoe wasn’t so expensive here in the Philippines (120$ turns out to be 8k php which is like 170$, the KD9 is 150$ but it’s only priced at 7.7k in here.) this shoe would already be sold out.

    1. See comment below,

Also I doubt shoes selling out that fast, especially if it’s above 5k in the Philippines,

“Hirap din magipon ng pang-bili ng sapatos based sa average salary sa Pinas” – tagalog language.

      1. Yes that’s right bro, in reality here in PHL there’s a lot of Bball player that can’t afford.

      2. I agree with you though but the clb16 price expectations here made me sad, will wait for sales na lang hehe.

  2. If it’s only 300 pesos difference,

    I would go for clb2016,

Because BOOST will help in the long run, considering 95% of all Bball Court is Cement in the Philippines, and only those who have money or are Varsity players can play on wooden courts,

Invest in anything with boost, it’s worth it.

  3. Best cw of this yet. Love the way the gold works in the jacquard. Not sure about the translucent outsole for performance, but it certainly looks nice.

  4. If they are able to do this with a Jacquard upper,

Can colorways like this be done on primeknit??

    Just curious…..

    1. Primeknit/Jacquard colorways can be manipulated into any stance they please. It’s just whether or not the companies will push out specific colorways to your liking.

  5. I forgive the UGLY Harden Sig. but the C/W is just so dope to be simply passed up. must buy for me.
