Get an Official Look at the adidas Harden Vol. 1 Primeknit in Black/ Gold

adidas harden vol. 1 imma be a star 0

James Harden’s first signature sneaker is just days away from its first launch, and we have an official look at the kicks that will likely help you make your decision on if this colorway was meant for you.

These feature Primeknit, so you already know I’m interested in them, and they’re gold. Yeah, just take my money. The toe features premium nubuck and the midsole is full length Boost. This pair should retail for $160 and they’ll be available starting on November 23. This colorway will release during Foot Locker’s Week of Greatness.

Let us know what you think about this colorway now that you’ve been able to get a good look at them from all angels. You can also check the performance review on the Harden Vol. 1 — here — in case you missed it.

  1. looks dope, nightwing will surely tell the difference from the primknit and the initial version. been saving since i saw this awesome shoe.

  2. So I’m having trouble choosing a shoe. I already have the KD 9, but I want a shoe that has boost cushioning. I’ve narrowed it down to the Crazy Explosive and the CrazyLight Boost 2016. I have read the score cards and the reviews multiple times but still don’t know which to choose. I want the plush cushioning (Crazy Explosive) but want a traction that will last (CrazyLight Boost 2016). Please can one of the WearTesters reply and help me choose between these sneakers?

    1. I’ve played in both and both are really great shoes. If you’re planning on playing outdoors at all, you should probably go with the Crazylight 2016 as the rubber is so much more durable. Indoors the Crazy Explosive is fine but will wear quicker. For me, the Crazy Explosive has a better overall fit and cushion setup so that’s the one I would choose if I had to pick only one. If you can afford both, do it!

    2. plush cushioning? DR6 or CE2016. I would choose DR6 due to them being cheaper, have plush cushioning and nice traction life.

  3. Nike and Jordan will always command the market, but Adidas is making the smarter business decisions. I would rock these with a suit.

  4. OMG!!! I just found out that adidas soccer cleats “ACE17+ Purecontrol” have insoles made out of BOOST. That is crazy! Hope they will sell them in the future, that would be bananas.

Just wanted to share with you guys. I saw it on “Football Boots” YouTube channel and it’s called “What is Boost? Why is it in New adidas ACE17+ Purecontrol Boots?” (he shows the insoles around the 4:03 minute mark).
