Get a Detailed Look at the Under Armour Curry 2.5

Come Playoff time, Stephen Curry will be rocking the Under Armour Curry 2.5.

We’ve previewed the shoe previously here, and today we get a bit more detailed with this new set of images. The tooling remains unchanged, so we’ll receive the same great traction that was featured on the Curry 2, along with the Charged cushion midsole. It’s been said that there will be an added layer of cushion with a Micro G insole as well.

The upper of the Under Armour Curry 2.5 has been completely redesigned with new materials. The medial side looks very structured for lockdown and support. Meanwhile, the lateral side is comprised of textile mesh with a rubber or PU overlay which should add a level of protection to the textile mesh along with a bit of unrestrictive support.

No official release information has been announced, but stay tuned for updated information as it comes. In the meantime, share your thoughts with us on the Under Armour Curry 2.5 in the comment section below.

  1. Very Interesting liking the upper and with the micro g sockliner charged cushion setup these are gonna be super comfortable can’t wait to see what colorways they can do with that upper

  2. I’ve been holding back from getting a pair of Curry 2. Now it has Micro G insoles… paired with that traction I personally think that’s a grail for hoopers!

The upper design is super neat too with the wrap around one piece ish tongue!! Can’t wait!

  3. These are some straight up Michael Keaton Batman lookin shoes. Very cool. As long as they stay away from super bright flashy colors and stick with the muted/simple stuff it’ll be great.

  4. promising for curry 3 in sense that 3 might be more unique cause this is a big change for a 2.5. rubber and forefoot flex looks like it would cause blisters.

  5. These are different but UA did it in a eay that makes them look good. My only concern is that there is an uneven amount of laces holes, but if sure it will work out. The padding in the heel is also a plus! Overall a comfortable looking shoe.

  6. The prominent orientation of the upper’s ridges on the lateral side look very purposeful. In fact the whole shoe looks like it’s adding up to pure function. This would be one of those unexpected pickups for me. Subdued UA logo actually kinda seals the deal for me.

  7. Love them -really nice design. If AJXXX were looking like this would be awesome

Probably will be over 130 eur in Europe though

  8. Not liking the tounge one bit, other than the cushion it may seem its a step-back from underarmour. Its .5 shoe, yes, but they couldve focused on the support furthermore, due to currys recent injurys. Fingers still crossed to an XDR rubber overseas.

  9. a tiny strip of tpu heel cup looks a bit awkward
heel slippage could be a problem when coupled with the burrito wrap
clb 2015 were a letdown in that concern
    keep pushing though UA!

  10. thinking that upper is going to be a bust. how are you going to get lock down w/ that lacing setup? and I can only imagine the rubberized portion is going to be somewhat uncomfortable due to warping and not be a one-to-one fit w/ your foot’s movements. hopefully I’m completely wrong. my prediction is Curry will stick w/ his regular season model for most of the playoffs.

  11. He wore these yesterday in an away colorway. They looked pretty good but not sure he liked how they felt because he switched back to the twos for the 2nd half.

    1. He likely enjoyed the shoe, but if he feels he isn’t playing well then he’ll switch out to a shoe that he last wore (while playing well). He does it all the time and will even do it with the same shoe and just changed colorways.
