  1. The only con I can see as of now is that the flex in the forefoot looks a bit awkward in these pictures. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

  2. Hi guys they already released here(philippines) and i will share my thoughts on them. My friend told me to break his pair in( lucky me) and i have played around 2-3 hours. The upper is very nice i prefer it to the anafoam on the curry 1 bur its all preference. Chuahioning is quite firm but absorbent and cushioned, feels softer than the curry 1 setup. The upper flexes with your foot as well as any other setup and lockdown is amazing. The speedform wraps around your foot like crazy. Traction is beast too, i found myself wiping less when i used the curry 2’s than my regular clutchfit drive 1’s, although best setups are beast. Basically its a amazing performer and one you should try out even if you dont like the aesthetics.

    1. Thanks for the review, did you try it out on an indoor wooden court or outdoors? since only a few can access Indoor wooden courts in the Philippines, concrete floors is the normal court surface where we play back then.

  3. Like what UA is doing, but the shoes name reminds me of the epic Lebron 11 colorway forging iron. This colorway doesnt come close.

  4. Saw the Curry 2s at the Tokyo Under Armour store. Bad news is that they were out of my size. The good news is that I did get to hold multiple pairs of the Curry 2s and even try on one pair that was one full size too big. The UA store had the Father to Sons (dope in person – my favorite by far of the 3 colorways they had), black w/ greys (very clean), and the Iron Sharpens Irons (colorway is only okay in person). The traction pattern is definitely sharper and more pliable than the 1s. I think it will be great for indoor courts. Not sure how it will hold up outside. Cushioning felt better than the 1s. It’s bouncier like the Micro G in the CFD 1s but with slightly firmer, more stable feel. I really liked it. Felt like they had Micro G insoles – not sure since they wouldn’t let me take them out. Materials felt good and build quality was very good. Not sure about the fit. Speedform seems like it will do a good job of conforming to the foot and giving support. Overall these are great looking shoes (even if I have a slight preference for the looks of the 1s over the 2s) and they seem like they will be great performers on the court. I’m very excited about getting the 2s when they release in the US.

    1. Hi, thanks for the awesome info. The Curry 2s sound really good. I especially like the info about the cushioning and the Speedform.

Since you’re in Tokyo, I just wanted to ask your opinion on Asics performance Basketball shoes. Do you own any pairs? If you do, what do you think of them? I’ve been trying to track down a pair of the Naked EG02 or EG03s, but I can’t seem to find them anywhere. I’ve bought my other pairs of Asics Basketball shoes from Rakuten online shopping site.

  5. You know what I love about these shots is that they show the shoes in action as opposed to the usual beauty shots of them just being on someone’s feet walking around. Nice change of pace from UA

  6. Glad to hear these early opinions of the shoe. Here’s mine. Only got the hold one here in the Philippines. And I’m quite disappointed by how it feels. Build quality is nice but I dont feel the materials. Midfoot to toe is made up of vinyl like material like the MVP 1s which is a crease magnet. The other half which is the “speedform” feels like speedform to touch but when you start flexing it from side to side makes it feel like its more of a thin fuse in betweem 2 speedform cloth layer for looks. Comparable to Kobe 9s I guess. Traction seems thin and pliable so no go for outdoors. And collar is thin unlike the 1s.

  7. I know the upper is speedform, but it looks stiff in these pictures, almost like it flexes weird. But I love my curry 1’s (wearin em right now) so i still wanna check these out

    1. Yeah, I’m seeing that too. Upper doesn’t seen like true Speedform and the toe box material looks different too. The flex of the toe box area also looks a little awkward, possibly due to the material they’re using there?

  8. can tot think of it, when steph signed with ua, he seldom twitches his ankles like he did when he whore nikes. plus, it made me buy the torches. i still love it to this day. micro g all . . . . the . . . way . . . .
