If you want Johnny Storm vibes from your sneakers this Air Max Plus 97 is the one to grab.
This latest Air Max hybrid utilizes the Air Max Plus upper but rides atop the Air Max 97’s midsole and outsole. The Air Max 97 Plus features Max Air branding at the heel — instead of the usual Tn for Tuned Air — so fans can expect a full-length cushioning setup. The sneaker sports a patent leather mudguard with red hot support tendrils that rise up from it — try convincing this writer they don’t look like flames.
The Nike Air Max Plus 97 ‘Shock Orange’ is available now at Eastbay.com for $175, just $5 more than the usual Air Max 97 retail price.
