Fitbit Introduces the Fitbit Ionic: adidas Edition

The Fitbit Ionic: adidas Edition has been announced today for pre-order. The device, which combines the standard features of the Fitbit Ionic, adds specific adidas features to this collaborative model.

Fitbit is looking to capitalize on its newest model, the Fitbit Ionic, by partnering with one of the most successful brands on the market right now. And Fitbit could use adidas’ buzz; the company recently reported a 10% dip in the company’s stock that brought its shares below $5 each after a yearlong decline.

The Fitbit Ionic: adidas Edition comes with the standard features of the Fitbit Ionic like the GPS, heart rate monitor, up to 50-meter water-resistance, and five day battery life. However, the three stripes brand has made the Ionic a better sportswatch with adidas Train. With it, users can get tips and coaching based on data the Fitbit Ionic collects, as well as personalized workouts. The adidas edition also features a custom watch face and signature watch bands.

In addition to fitness related features, the Fitbit Ionic: adidas Edition will have the capability to store and play 300+ songs. It can also store personal information including credit cards for easy payments while on the go.

The Fitbit Ionic: adidas Edition is available for pre-order now at Fitbit.com for $330 and it will begin shipping out to customers on March 19.
