Built atop the same aggressive traction and cushioning system as the original Fat Tire, this new build uses a fully waterproof upper and intelligent insulation to tackle the elements.
The full grain leather upper used on the Fat Tire Govie is waterproof and durable (it should be supportive as well), and beneath it lies a UA Storm waterproof membrane to make sure feet stay dry and ventilated.
Interestingly, this sneakerboot comes equipped with ColdGear Reactor intelligent insulation that should adapts to the wearer’s level of activity; the insulation is warmer when the wearer slows down and cooler when the wearer heats up, according to Under Armour.
Cushioning is taken care of by an anti-microbial OrthoLite sockliner and a huge well-cushioning Charged Cushioning midsole that absorbs impact well. All of that cushioning rides atop an aggressive Michelin Wild Gripper outsole with unique traction lugs that should shed mud and debris as the wearer walks or runs.
