You may know Extra Butter by the prank they just pulled on their customers where they tried to resell a pair of knock over Jordan’s for $100, but now they’re back collaborating with adidas Originals on this Vanguard collection.
Using a pair of ZX Flux and ZX Trail Mids, the Vanguard collection takes inspiration from the great outdoors. The ZX Trail Mid uses a duck canvas suede upper and patches that are inspired by youth scout survival programs to complete a look that is both retro and nostalgic. The ZX Flux on the other hand takes a more wild approach with its fully graphic upper that represent the rare species found in the deep ocean, and glow in the dark hits for increased underwater visibility. Overall the pack is quite the spectacle and with a scavenger hunt giving away 100 pairs, Extra Butter went the “extra” – pun intended – mile to make this collaboration something special.
