The Ewing Eclipse Returns with an Elite Version

Ewing Eclipse 1

Almost every single brand related to sportswear in any way is capitalizing on the 2016 Olympic Games. Finally, Ewing Athletics has retroed the Ewing Eclipse, a classic model that Number 33 wore 24 years ago with the legendary Dream Team for the 1992 Summer Games.

Ewing Athletics is debuting the original home and road colorways — white-blue-red and black-blue-red, respectively — alongside the brand new Ewing Eclipse Elite, a limited edition that flaunts a metallic gold upper and a translucent red outsole. According to Ewing Athletics, the Eclipse Elite pays homage to the 1992 Gold Medal Game in which Patrick and his teammates earned Gold in Barcelona.

Ewing has not skimped on presentation either. All three models will feature limited edition gold-trimmed packaging and faux 1992 gold medals. Not only have these retroes been done right, they even feature Ewing’s player exclusive (PE) embroidery at the tongue and the number 6 for his Team USA Olympic jersey.

The Eclipse and its Elite version should arrive at retailers towards the middle of July (once they drop they’ll be available at EwingAthletics.com). The two Eclipse colorways will retail for $120 each and the Eclipse Elite will retail for $150. Thoughts on this latest classic to come out of the Ewing vault? Sound off below.

    1. Nate you and I both know the 180 Force Barkley’s will come and go and be back again before we know it. The Ewing Eclipse being retroed is a really cool thing. Can’t wait to grab em.

  1. Hey how come i can’t find any performance review on Ewing shoes. I know they are old tech but they look good. So I’m really only curious on thw cushion of these shoes. But im assuming it is just full-length EVA. BTW most Ewing CWs are great..take notes adidas.
