A Detailed Look at the PEAK Parker IV Gentleman

PEAK Parker IV Gentleman TP IV 4

The PEAK Parker IV Gentleman, one of the latest colorways to hit Tony Parker’s fourth signature shoe, was far too handsome to go unnoticed — I had to give you all a detailed look.

This TP IV is one of my favorite shoes of the year, already — just look at it! It shines brighter than any iridescent material I’ve seen to date. After seeing Jordan Brand’s All-Star footwear collection, it seems like iridescent is the trend of 2017. However, PEAK seems to have gotten there a bit early, and the material execution on this PEAK Parker IV Gentleman is fantastic. Even the heel counter is sparkly and colorful, and because of its texture, it exudes a totally different look than the rest of the sneaker.

In addition to the blangin’ upper, there are a few notable details on this colorway that make it unique. The lace loops feature reflective material that make the PEAK Parker IV Gentleman shine even stronger. The back of the tongue reads “Gentleman” in big gold lettering and the insoles features an elegant TP logo that flaunt a bowtie. Moreover, the metallic gold-backed tongue logos show the attention to detail that I look for in a dope sneaker — especially because they’re textured like the heel counter is. Finally, the entire shoe sits atop a gum outsole that is slightly translucent and pretty tacky.

Yes, the material creases, and I’m okay with that (I wore them prior to taking these photos to show just how the creasing would look). The good thing about a synthetic material like the one used on the Parker IV Gentleman is that mud, dirt, stains, etc. all wipe right off without any fuss.

While the TP IV doesn’t use the most advanced cushioning set up, just different density foams — Gradient Dual technology and the S-Pad in the heel — it’s great for casual wear. I walked a couple city miles in these and didn’t want to switch into something else.

  1. I like the Peak DH2.. but I am soo confused on the sizing. Unfortunately I dont have the spare cash to take a risk on sizing. Anyone? I wear size 7.5UK…so a 8.5US in Nikes and 8.0 in adidas.. hibasketball does not have the DH2 in UK sizing only in US sizing as I prefer using the UK sizing as it is more accurate in my experience.
